The customer brought me this piece of wood and wanted a lamp with a simple and quirky ‘steampunk’ feel about it. We discussed at length the woods uniqueness and its features and came up with this funky lamp. He wanted to retain the large split in the piece which created a lopsided slope and I added hand made metal staples to stabilise the wood to prevent further widening. He kindly allowed me to take and use photos of the lamp.
Made from a solid block of wood and fitted with an E27 light fitment.
It is fitted with an E27 light fitment, it is fully wired with an inline switch and fitted with a UK 3 point mains plug. Cable length is approximately 1.5m. Switch is approximately 400mm from base.
The cable exits the lamps from the rear, through my diamond logo.
Your order can be customised to your needs e.g. cable colour and length. It will of course use a different piece of wood, and the various features will be different.
Where materials allow, surface features such as cracks, splits, machine marks etc. enhance the look of the lamp. This could include metal staples across cracks, as shown in the photos.
Lampshade & bulb are not included.

The mains cable protrudes from the rear of the lamp.
Most of the items I make are made to order. Generally made to order items cannot be returned. Obviously any manufacturing faults will be rectified.
